Are you a electrical project manager looking to start a long term freelance role which could lead to permenant employment?

Do you have the relevant qualifications and experience to work as an electrical project manager for an electrical contractor on new build construction sites?

Based in Castleford, you will project manage several sites across Yorkshire, visiting each site weekly.

You will be required to take overall responsibility for the management and delivery of project works and ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standard. As well as managing existing projects you will also be expected to source more opportunities, to keep the business running smoothly and lucratively. Working closely with both the office team for future projects and our on-site engineers for current projects, to ensure the smooth running of the company and creating company success.

You will also be required to oversee the day to day management of Reactive Maintenance Contracts and ensure that road based engineers are providing high quality, efficient and technically accurate solutions to electrical maintenance issues.

Duties include, but are not limited to;

To run multiple projects

To provide technical support and advice our engineers

To compile tenders and quotations to the best standard, ensuring they are collated thoroughly and are priced competitively, to ensure contracts are won and retained

To maintain a high standard of customer service for all internal and external facing activities.

To be flexible and able to multi-task. Jumping from one task to the other is an essential part.

To read, understand and scrutinise specifications, programmes and drawings.

To ensure health and safety standards are met on site at all times.

To provide and prepare contract documents as required. E.g. Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

To carry out site visits and surveys.

To manage contract costs and variations including procurement

To manage on-site teams and sub-contractors.
