*** Trainee Maths Teacher position located in Nottingham
*** £15,000 pa training salary

Entry requirements:
*** 2.2 or above in university degree
*** A-C in English and maths at GCSE
*** Strong academic record
*** Interest in teaching

You must have the skills to display an advanced knowledge of your subject that impresses your pupils and your colleagues. We are looking for outstanding graduates who can encourage and enthuse young people.

There will be opportunities throughout the programme to experience varying standards of teaching which will enable you as an individual to find the environment that suits you best. The programme is mainly school based, with distance learning and regular residential visits to cover the theoretical aspects of teaching. The blended approach allows you to benefit from leading university-based teacher training while you progress in a school environment that suits you. You will benefit from fantastic support with your in-school mentor, academic mentor at the university and the Premier Pathways team.

The 3-phase structure is as follows:
*** Term 1 & 2 - Support role, small-group work and intervention sessions
*** Term 3 - 0.5 timetable
*** Year 2 - 0.8 timetable
*** Regular residentials and assessments throughout the 2 year period
