Business Intelligence Specialist

We have partnered with a leading organisation in central Ipswich who are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Specialist to join their friendly team. Core objectives:
-Maintenance, development and long term strategy of the global reporting IT solution.
-Responsible for the data quality and consistency managed across the systems.
-Responsible for various projects relating to the reporting platform. Examples of these can include the integration of new portfolios in the data warehouse, new business requirements and technical projects on the infrastructure.
-Assist with the monitoring of I.T. helpdesk calls and liaise with colleagues and third party suppliers to ensure a high quality of service is provided to end users.

-Maintenance and development of the global reporting system. This involves the Business Objects universe, the data warehouse, its datamarts and the different interfaces with source systems managed with the ETL tool Informatica'.
-Work in a transversal team with Business Objects report developers and be responsible for the data quality and consistency used in the different reports.
-Propose and implement a solution to monitor and control the data quality between the source systems and the BO Universe. Manage any data fixes that are required. Liaise with either users or suppliers to ensure that any fixes are correct. Minimise impact to the BAU environment.
-Specification and development of strategic enhancements of the reporting solution to meet business requirements for company and portfolio action plans and ensuring alignment with business strategy

Skills required:
-Excellent Business Objects skills
-Excellent Informatica skills
-Strong understanding of Oracle PL/SQL
-Strong Microsoft Office skills,
-Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
-Strong communication skills, and ability to make proposals and follow them through to delivery
