Associate Development is a specialist team within the wider Organisational Development department. Associates are the people who mark, moderate and work with us to deliver our qualifications. Associate Development advise and support the business in the planning and delivery of training development and engagement solutions for our associate community.

Our associates play a key role in the development and delivery of our qualifications; therefore it is imperative that they have the knowledge and skills to be able to build on their assessment expertise, enabling them to carry out their contracted services for us.

We want to recruit a technically minded Online Learning Consultant with a creative flair to join our dedicated team, based at our offices in Guildford. You’ll be a real people person who enjoys working collaboratively with key stakeholders to boost AQA’s online learning and development provision. Your creativity will have a positive impact through the highly engaging and innovative online learning products that you’ll be creating for our associates.

What we are looking for;

  • knowledge of web-based online learning approaches (synchronous/asynchronous) and implications for individual/group learning

  • broad knowledge of relevant online learning technology and relevant software including both content development and range of channels (forums, social media)

  • a logical thinker with strong skills in attention to detail

  • effective communications skills, both oral and written specifically in the context of web-based communications including social media

  • positive and solution orientated attitude

  • ability to develop effective working relationships within the team and more widely

  • strong skills in rapid authoring tools such as Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite

  • instructional design skills and the ability to produce clear and concise written materials

  • strong IT skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and main computing systems

  • experience of learning management systems, ideally Totara

  • experience of working with subject matter experts to design and develop online learning products

  • experience of designing online learning products using online learning/video software and technology coupled with video editing skills.
