Technical Project Manager // Financial Services // Cardiff / £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Excellent Bens

I am currently working very closely with a great Financial Services organisation based in the heart of Cardiff. This company offers excellent training and development opportunities, and boasts an upbeat and hard-working company culture.

What my client is looking for:

A Project Manager that has at least 3 years in an IT Project Manager role. Ideally, this candidate will be able to communicate effectively with Developers & Testers in a technical environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Demonstrated success in leading IT projects from concept to delivery.
- Sound working knowledge of the project lifecycle including selection of appropriate methodologies and techniques for delivery
- Understanding of the drivers of success and sources of risk for the project domain
- Self-starting with the ability to empower teams and colleagues to focus on achieving goals
- Excellent communication (verbal, written, listening), social and influencing skills. Ability to bridge the technical domain and the business through user-friendly language
- Able to manage difficult stakeholders and deliver in ambiguous, fast-changing and complex environments
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, in particular MS Project and Powerpoint
- Excellent project reporting skills with the ability to make it meaningful for various audiences
- Good knowledge of project management tools.
- Good command of change management issues and methodologies.
- Broad understanding of IT functions; broad exposure to both application and infrastructure domains across both projects and operations.
- Comfortable in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Possess a client serving approach and be able to develop strong relationships with business owners.
- Hands on and detail oriented as needed with the ability to see the big picture.

Skills/Experience:

- Minimum 5 years' experience with IT (SDLC) project management
- Management of Third party vendors and suppliers
- Experience in leading teams, problem solving, progress monitoring, managing risk, budget or resource
- ITIL Methodology (Desirable)
- SDLC knowledge
- Prince 2 Practitioner
- Financial services industry experience (Desirable)
- Previous experience with ManageEngine Service Desk plus or similar work management tool (Desirable)
