The successful candidate will join the award-winning Environmental Management and Due Diligence team in London, which has a strong reputation for quality and client delivery, working on a wide variety of high profile projects both in the UK and internationally. Our team supports financial institutions and private equity houses, infrastructure investors and real estate developers and investors in their acquisition/disposal of assets. We also support a range of blue-chip clients in legal compliance and environmental management issues.

Core responsibilities of the position include:
•Project input to environmental due diligence, compliance and environmental management system projects in the UK and internationally;
•Preparation and support on Phase I environmental assessments (assessing both property and corporate transactions);
•Coordination and project management of local sub-consultants in international locations;
•Support in delivery of Waterman Greenspace services, including health, safety and environmental compliance auditing; and
•Opportunity to extend into sustainability and Environmental Impact Assessment.

Requirements:
•At least two/three years experience in due diligence and compliance on a similar consultancy environment or inhouse (essential);
•A relevant BSc degree in relevant subject (essential) and Masters Degree (preferable);
•Excellent report writing and communication skills;
•The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
•The ability to complete site visits, visual inspections and interviews;
•Preferably with a good understanding of environmental legislation, policy, guidance and procedures;
•Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel;
•Full driving licence and confidence driving long distances (own car is not required);
•Willingness to travel independently to international locations.

Additional Preferred Skills:
•Written and spoken second/third language skills would be an advantage
