Site Support Technician/ Engineer

Technical Qualities:

1. Must have completed a programme of training in Mechanical Engineering
and /or Electrical & Electronic Engineering
2. Profound understanding of Enclosing/finishing equipment
3. Using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly
mathematical modelling and computer-aided design
4. Be proficient in the application and use of a wide range of machine tools
including turning and milling, grinding and drilling.
5. Fitting and assembly skills including the use of hand tools and marking out.
6. Welding, fabrication, brazing, soldering and other jointing processes.
7. Measurement and inspection techniques using a variety of metrology equipment

Main Responsibilities:

1. To undertake project work as required and have a flexible approach to
shift cover.
2. Develop metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and savings on
equipment and parts spend.
3. Working with the Lean team and wider production teams; develop and promote
a strong TPM culture within the operation.
4. Produce details of specifications and outline designs and recommending
modifications following prototype test results
5. Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help
improve safety, reliability and throughput
6. Monitoring and commissioning plant and systems
7. Promote knowledge sharing and cross-skilling within the department and
wider operation.
8. Expand knowledge and engineering skill to other areas and equipment.
9. Carrying out such tasks and duties as directed by the Departmental
Technical Manager / Supervisor that are calculated to contribute to the
requisite levels of performance and competence.
10. To attend and comply with all training
11. Aptitude to work in a high performance and corporate culture
12. Undertake to comply with the Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)
and its associated policies
13. To perform any other duties that may be required from senior operations
