Our client, a provider of training, skills, recruitment & consultancy for growth, is looking for a highly competent Head of Employer Engagement to join their rapidly expanding business.

As a Head of Employer Engagement, you will be developing and implementing an employer engagement strategy. Leading a national employer engagement campaign, building the engagement team and strong working relationships with large Apprenticeship Levy employers. Leading a team and being in a high position in the promotion of government funded products and services that bring new employment, training & consultancy opportunities to the client.

Day to day duties will include the following:
• Working alongside the Directors and Senior Managers, the Head of Employer Engagement maintains an excellent understanding of how it works, its business requirements and commercial objectives so that they are equipped to act as a trusted advisor, contributing to the development and execution of the overall business plan.
• The rollout of a national employer engagement strategy
• Building a strong team of employer engagement specialist
• Desk and field based engagement
• Engaging with local stakeholders, account managing and developing new business
• Providing accurate information, advice and guidance
• Compiling, maintaining, analysing and interpreting internal and external data
• Working collaboratively with the Quality Assurance Team to develop quality in delivery
• Working collaboratively with the Senior Operational Management team to ensure outcomes are delivered
• Build, manage and maintain a substantial pipeline and to ensure that all pipeline activity is accurately documented and kept up-to-date
• Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation and lead management to prospecting, arranging appointments, preparing proposals and presentations, negotiating and closing
• Conduct research and understand prospect's products, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives, overall business requirements and objectives
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with employers within specific geographical areas
• Provide timely response and exceptional levels of service to all stakeholders
• Performance will be measured on the outcome of your activities, quality of delivery and your contribution to the success of our business.
• Build and implement an employer engagement training course for managers

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
• Degree educated or degree level thinking and reasoning ability
• Sales/work based learning experience
• Knowledge of local labour markets
• Proven responsibility for delivery of targets
• Proven track record in building and developing relationships with local, national, and levy employers- including the need for honesty, integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
• Strong experience of working within a b2b field sales environment - networking with businesses on a regular basis to secure new business
• Strong leadership & management skills- including excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, flexibility, and resiliency
• A career that has been developed with large organisations who are blue chip, have a national presence or operate within a matrix structure
• Proven experience of direct and indirect team management
• Demonstrable success in maintaining and maximising business to business sales performance
• Recruitment experience
• Knowledge of government funded programmes
• Organisational training needs analysis
