We are a growing international specialist healthcare company. Our mission is to bring to market medical products that meet the needs of specialist healthcare physicians and their patients. Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Manager to join our highly-motivated team.

The Senior Manufacturing Manager will report to the site Director and provide an efficient, effective and compliant manufacturing and packaging operation that meets the supply objectives, by the development and implementation of strategic and annual operational plans. You will ensure that targets within operational plans are executed in line with customer expectations and budget commitments. Embed a continuous improvement culture to deliver year on year reduction in the Cost of Goods and embrace new manufacturing opportunities to consistently deliver successful business outcomes.

Principal Responsibilities

*Create a strong culture of leadership to deliver positive employee relations, establish operational effectiveness and achieve quality and operational objectives.
*Develop a culture of exceptional performance, continuous improvement and customer focus within the Manufacturing and Packaging team.
*Ensure each team member of the group achieves both personal and company objectives and take necessary action to ensure talent is nurtured and recognised whilst fostering an environment that supports learning, individual development and openness to change.
*Ensure activities meet and integrate with organisational requirements for Quality Management and Regulatory compliance to cGMP.
*Develop budgets and oversee all Manufacturing and Packaging controllable expenses, whilst leading a continuous effort to reduce costs and report key performance measures for the team.
*Develop and execute plans to achieve customer delivery performance to world class performance levels whilst ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to meet current and future business needs.
*Provision of appropriate resources to run and participate projects, validation delivery, investigations, CAPA's and process monitoring.
*Build strong relationships with the Technical team to ensure any production/development challenges/opportunities are appropriately and effectively managed.
*Act as designate to the Site Director to ensure continuity of the site and maintenance of site activities in their absence.

Education and Experience

*A degree in an appropriate scientific/technical discipline with proven supervisory and/or manufacturing management experience in a biopharmaceutical or closely related industry.
*Alternatively, a relevant qualification with extensive and strong technical and supervisory/management experience in a biopharmaceutical or related industry environment.
*Proven understanding and implementation of lean manufacturing principles/philosophies and ideally a recognised six sigma qualification up to and including Black belt.
