Hays is proud to be partnered with a well-established and stable financial services organisation seeking a Reconciliations Assistant to join their Reconciliations Team. This vacancy is a 12 months FTC due to ongoing projects, but the position has been in place for some time suggesting the likelihood of longevity.
Your new role
Joining a welcoming and friendly Reconciliations Team and reporting to the Reconciliations Manager and Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the regular and prompt production of reconciliations for external cash accounts and a high number of client funds. This will primarily involve investigating reconciling items, liaising with administrative staff in other offices, both internal and external, to resolve arising items. You will maintain the necessary documentation as evidence of reconciliation work concluded. Further to this you will assist the Accounts Preparation Team and Auditors, and provide ad-hoc reports.
What you'll need to succeed
Eager to learn, you will be an inquisitive individual with the ability to take responsibility for your own workload, working under pressure to tight deadlines. You will have a university degree in Accountancy, Finance or a business related subject, and/or have carried out a similar role recently. Having reconciliation experience within professional services will enhance your application. As training is provided, this position is also ideal for a recent graduate with office experience and strong Excel abilities.
