My Client is one of the most recognised manufactures in the North East. A market-leader globally within their field, they are looking for a Tooling Manager to join their growing team.The Role
* To manage and develop all levels of production tooling to support zero defect manufacturing
* Improvement and development of personnel and procedures to increase overall efficiency
* Promotion of 5S ensuring improvements are maintained
* Ensuring all resources and equipment are kept up to a world class standard
* Lead tool GA reviews and approval
The Person
* Excellent communication, leadership and management skills
* Experience of automotive or high volume manufacturing
* Strong understanding of tooling design, production and manufacture
* Demonstrable experience as a qualified tooling engineer
* Experience in project management
* Educated to a BTEC,ONC,HNC or Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or relevant similar field
* Ability to work effectively in a high pressured environment, demonstrating effective problem solving skillsDesirables
* Experience of problem solving techniques such as 8D and PPS
* Knowledge of standard documentation such as PPAP and FMEA
