Certification Engineer

Salary around £40,000 per year

Warrington or Home-Based

37.5 hours per week (Additional hours as required)

Their global network of laboratories and experts support many of the world’s most respected companies through the provision of mission-critical services that help them to bring new products to market and ensure that quality is maintained through their production processes and supply chains.

Main responsibilities include:

Providing technical advice to clients and members of the Certification business, with expectation to project manage the work flows with autonomy in senior roles

Improving and developing your knowledge regarding all European Technical Specifications and National European and International Test Standards relating to fire safety. Senior engineers are expected to lead the development of standards in relevant fire resistance product areas

Conducting product appraisals on fire safety products and constructions, performing technical audits and preparing technical files, delivering certification.

Conducting assessments in lieu of fire tests where appropriate

Representing the company, as appropriate, on nominated standards, sector group and trade association committees and on other public platforms where required

Pursuing new markets, clients and services to expand the Warrington Certification business

Responding to customer queries in an accurate, professional and timely manner

Contribute to delivery of the Certification Sales & Marketing plan. Ensure that this is managed and opportunities are successfully followed through

Promote internal and external collaboration and team work in different product areas

What are we Looking For?

A good general education, including English and Maths

Preferably further or higher education and professional qualification in an engineering discipline

Preferably relevant industry experience relating to fire safety and construction products

Excellent attention to detail

Strong commercial focus

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Please note training will be provided for candidates.
