Permanent Management Accountant required for an exciting business in Tyne & Wear going through rapid growth and delivering a portfolio of services
Working as the Management Accountant you will be responsible for managing a small team of staff and delivering finances in a timely manner. The organisation is going through significant change and as such you will support this change, identifying opportunities for process improvement and getting involved in ad hoc project work. The main duties will include control of the ledgers, ensuring timely payments; monthly accruals, prepayments, journals and reconciliations; ownership of the profit and loss account and balance sheet; preparation of the controller report including full variance analysis and commentary; assisting with preparation of year end accounts and audit; VAT.
The Management Accountant will ideally be a part qualified CCAB Accountant, highly energetic, self-motivated person with a proven record of accomplishment in finance and accounting. You will be able to work on individual projects and as part of a wider finance team. You will have strong organisational skills with the ability to deliver on time, be flexible and reliable. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels and have previous experience of managing a team, particularly one through change.
