Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a well known, established business based within the South Leeds area. The successful candidate will join a large, supportive Finance team and whilst this is initially a short term role, for the right candidate it may lead to a more longer term permanent opportunity. In return you will be entitled to free onsite parking and will gain holiday pay and benefits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:-
*Matching, batching and coding in excess of 100 purchase invoices per day.
*Liaising with suppliers on a day to day basis and resolving any queries as and when required.
*Supplier statement reconciliations.
*Helping to prepare weekly BACS and cheque runs to pay suppliers and ad-hoc foreign payments.
*Entering and paying cash expenses and petty cash claims.
*Ensuring that the purchase ledger is as up to date as possible at month end.
*Contributing to the achievement of departmental service level agreements.
*Liaising with internal and external audit members to enable an efficient and thorough audit.
*Other ad-hoc assignments as and when required by senior finance staff.

You will:-
*Ideally have experience of working within a fast paced purchase ledger environment.
- Ideally have experience of using the SAP software package.
*Have strong Word and Excel skills.
*Be able to communicate at all levels and be able to liaise with managers and clients.
*Be able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines.
*Have strong numeracy skills.
