An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for a Strategic Project Manager (Brand) based at Unilever's prestigious facility in Leatherhead. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 6 months, working a 37.5 hour week, paying between £44,000 and £55,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Unilever is the leading manufacturer within the Deodorants & Daily Fragrances market. Within Unilever's brand portfolio we have a number of female deodorant brands. There is an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team to focus on one of the female brands. This is a strategic project management role, bringing to market some ranges. Not multi-media campaign.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
* To manage and grow the brand(s) for the cluster/market in an independent way through activation, renovation and brilliant implementation of innovations.
* The SBM (Senior Brand Manager) is responsible for the brand's P&L including budget management and will deliver the growth ambition targets on the brands (market share, volume and turnover growth).
* The SBM translates understanding into insights on both consumer and shopper and retailer level.
* The SBM will have a strong competitive mentality that translates in brand plans to win penetration and overall gain market share and delivers perfectly integrated plans that cover both the In Home and Out of Home channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Understanding into insight- bring consumer, shopper, customer and channel insights into the organisation and the team to translate this knowledge into actionable activities,
2) Strategy, plans and brands- conduct strategic reviews and audits of the brand using all the available analysis tools, set a strategy, Jobs To Be Done and develop the brand marketing plan,
3) Gate-keep the innovation management process, develop sound business cases and turn numbers into real life flawless execution that fit perfectly with the brands,
4) Create communication with the media agency and as part of the Business Planning Process, select the right communication channels, create briefs for the creative agencies,
5) In-Market Activation- develop detailed brand activity plans and lead the cross-functional teams, develop price and promotion strategies in collaboration with the category managers, work closely with customer development to ensure listings and great POS (point of sale) visibility and develop and execute the communication plan in market,
6) Tracking and optimising-measure results against internal and external KPI's and adapt where necessary, closely track your allocated budget.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
* Experience in developing disruptive growth plans, strong knowledge on PR, social and digital media
* Experience in "premiumisation" and knows how to translate it to a fast moving environment
* Knows how to deliver a real brand experience through design, display, POS, shop in shop and events
* Brand management or product marketing experience
* People management experience and social media know-how

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Must demonstrate a real passion for the Personal Care industry
* Strategic thinking, strong project management/leadership skills and must have delivered/managed innovation through a business.
* You will need to be digitally savvy and share excellent examples of how you have pushed the boundaries of consumer and customer thinking in previous roles.
* Good analytical skills - can step back and look at the big picture but also look at the detail
* Have the ability to make sense of lots of information and then articulate the information within Unilever and to retailers/the ability to be a good story teller
* Educated to degree level with a breath of experience within Brand Management.
