Senior Logistics Project Manager - Healthcare - Event Agency

To £45,000


An excellent opportunity with overall management of full Healthcare logistics team and multiple logistics operations in support of the efficient delivery of high level quality and timely conferences/events throughout the world. Control and organisation of numerous event activities, deadlines, suppliers and clients in support and delivery of excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage the flow of assigned logistical services between the point of origin and the point of destination in order to meet the requirements of the client

  • Ensure all administration involved in the organisation and delivery of the event is accessible and understood by all available

  • Take full responsibility of budget management and profit margins

  • Provide support and assistance to all colleagues actively working on the project, ensuring that each team member is compliant with all brief specifications and regulations

  • Clearly communicate with all team members, ensuring all up to date information is correct concise and shared in a timely manner

  • Successfully negotiate with 3rd party providers and suppliers in order to ensure that the agency secures the best deals around

  • Actively promote the full range of services that are available within the agency to build the strength of the business relationship through delivery of value added services

  • Ensure team members are effectively managed, coached, mentored and encouraged to develop their talent and skills. Provide relevant assistance by creating clear development plans, in conjunction with HR and in line with business and individual needs

  • Ensure the department is familiar with and is working to its BMS procedures, and keeps required records; making sure that the team has the training and resources they need to do this effectively.

  • Champion visionary opportunities in the successful development of new and innovative technologies which enhance our industry knowledge and develop our market leading capabilities

  • Ensure compliance of all activity with relevant regulatory bodies

  • Raise Logistics profile internally creating awareness and knowledge of Logistics activities company wide

  • Effectively and efficiently participate in pitches / client proposals and new business development where appropriate

  • Direct control of workload resourcing and Logistic staffing levels, pre, onsite and post event

  • Work overseas if required

  • Produce, review, monitor, update and action all project-related documentation, ensuring that it is filed correctly in accordance with ISO

  • Ensure Logistics quality and sustainability procedures are followed on each event, and ensure appropriate records are maintained.

Core Tasks

  • Manage assigned agency Logistics and in house team re project work flow and ensuring they meet the required quality standards

  • Effectively deliver client activity through active team management and engaging partner, freelancer and supplier support

  • Mentor, guide and engage with junior team members in order to develop our stars of the future

  • Keep Directors, team and client, informed of project status at all times

  • Ensure teams produce and update all project documentation (budgets, project plans, schedule, contact reports, etc.) in line with ISO standards

  • Ensure that sustainability targets are met on all assigned projects in accordance with ISO

  • Support the agencies new business programme working alongside Client Service teams on pitches and proposals

  • Actively seek new and engaging technology and solutions to further the agencies output

  • Take an active role in the department attending team meetings, show and tells and supplier visits
