Residential childrens Worker - Crawley
Residential Childrens workers required for established organisation based in the Crawley area, currently recruiting due to new residents and increased needs.
This is a great job role to become a support worker, working closely with children who have EBD and display challenging behaviour based in residential settings based in quiet areas.
The job of a residential childrens worker involves working 1-1 with young people aged 9-17 who come from a range of different backgrounds and cases.
You will be working as part of a team which involves a high level of communication and interaction with other members of staff and children, forming relationships and setting an example to the young people to help them develop their lives and become more able and confident as they grow older and look to be leaving the care system.
Your working day will involve assisting with day to day tasks around the home as well as escorting the young people to social meetings, educational pursuits and also leisure activities and formal appointments.
You will be expected work shifts but will only be doing 1 sleep in per week and will have a pre determined shift pattern.
You must have previous experience working with children and/or young people either in a residential setting or other type of setting. But if the job interests you please get in touch for a chat. We are accepting all applications.
The job role does require a car driver, due to the location of the homes and also males due to the needs of the home at present.
