self management uk is a charity that provides support and training to people with long-term health conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, lung disease and heart conditions. The support and training we provide makes a significant difference to our course attendees and helps them to manage the day-to-day impact of living with a long-term condition or supporting someone who does.

Now in our 15th year we are looking to generate income from fundraising whilst developing an effective fundraising capability within the Charity. Previously a Community Interest Company we are recognised as the market leading national charity within our field of work.

We are seeking a self-motivated and ambitious Fundraiser to join our team at this exciting time as we develop and implement our fundraising strategy.

We are a relatively new Senior Management Team, small in size, but with a successful track record and big ambitions and are looking for a Fundraiser to join us, working with the Chief Executive to define the charity’s fundraising strategy whilst being able to generate income aligned with our strategic priorities.

You will need to have an excellent understanding of the charity sector and fundraising market and have a successful track record of submitting excellent fundraising applications and proposals. Whilst you may not currently be in a management position we are looking for someone who wants to develop their career.

The position is offered as a full time role but we are willing to consider applications from those wishing to work part time hours (minimum 3 days per week).

The role is predominantly home based but will require regular travel to our Head Office in Southwark, London and national meetings.
