Learning Support Assistant (Gateway)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within North Kent College’s Gateway department in the capacity of Learning Support Assistant. Please see below for details of this vacancy:
Salary: Spine Points 9 (£10,682.70) to 13 (£11,935.10), plus enhanced holiday pay.
Location: The College’s Gravesend (Kent) campus.
Working hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) / 36 weeks per annum.
The role of Learning Support Assistant (Gateway) will involve supporting learners with identified learning difficulties/disabilities to enable them to succeed on their independent living, vocational preparation or Skills Plus programmes. A key aspect of this role is supporting learners with personal care tasks as required, including eating, washing, dressing and toileting.
To be successful, you will have a good standard of English and Maths and will be computer literate. Ideally, you will also have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to undergo appropriate training).
