I am actively recruiting for professional, motivated and care focussed waking nights support workers to join a small, friendly residential service with a GOOD OFSTED rating for children and young people in the South Birmingham area. Due to expansion, I am looking for applicants to commence employment within the next few months.

You will become a pivotal part of a progressive and developing provider who has the needs of the young people they support at the heart of everything they do. You will work closely with a highly competent and passionate staff team who are committed to providing high quality emotional, behavioural and education support.

Employed on a full time basis, you will work waking nights on a four days on, four days off rota. Your shift will commence at 10pm and finish at 8am the following morning.

You will act as a positive role model and empower the young people in your care. Working as part of a team, you will promote independent living skills and implement appropriate routines. You will also education the young people about the consequences of their actions. Administrative and housekeeping duties will form part of your shift responsibilities.

I am seeking applications from candidates who can demonstrate a significant background within children`s residential care settings and who possess a "can do" attitude and an excellent work ethic.

You will be suitably qualified to level 3 in health and social care, children and young people`s service or equivalent and have flexibility to work a waking nights shift pattern. Knowledge and experience of supporting children and young people with challenging behaviours, complex care needs and emotional and behavioural difficulties.

This exciting opportunity is offering a salary up to £18000 per annum dependent on qualification and experience. You will also benefit from continued training and development, internal progression opportunities and a generous annual leave allowance.
