Can you meet the challenge?

We are looking for someone to have day to day responsibility for the delivery of the existing, new and developing electronic data collection programmes in line with the section delivery plan, ad-hoc client requirements and projects.

The successful candidate will support delivery of surveys, audits, research projects, public and stakeholder consultations and customer relationship management, and making recommendations to drive changes and improvements.

If so, do you have the qualities?

You will need to have four GCSE’s including Maths & English (A to C) and a good knowledge and working experience of Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access in addition to SPSS; as well as knowledge and working practice of producing and implementing sampling techniques, survey design, qualitative and quantitative field based and electronic data collection, analysis and reporting. You will also need knowledge of the data protection act and general data protection regulations in addition to knowledge and working practice of data scanning, warehousing techniques, electronic/online/web-based applications and software such as Teleform, Survey Monkey and Snap. Membership of relevant professional institution (e.g. Market Research Society) is desirable.

The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate the following

• Analytical and numerical skills – Interrogates and analyses data to gather relevant information
• Ability to communicate research findings to clients and members of the Data Services team verbally and through written reports
• Ability to operate enthusiastically in a multi-operational, task focused, change and cost driven environment and work to deadlines
