As a Butcher Assistant, your work would include:

Ensure to follow the Companies meat production guidelines including the cut specifications and the size for packaging.
Ensure to follow the store production plan to support the product ordering, availability and waste control.
Prepare daily purchase order by recording stock levels & Indicate order quantities to the Supervisor.
Ensure you follow standardized counter display and chiller display and use the company merchandising guide as reference.
Set up the display according to Store Standard.
Check all the temperatures of the display cabinet and storage and report any fault to the Supervisor or Store manager immediately.
Review the stock availability and production plan to priorities the task for the day.
Carry out stock take before the store opens per request.
Closing down the counter per the timeline set by the Company.
Complete the closing down cleaning procedures in the department including detailed cleaning for all equipment, displays, walls, corners and washing down the floor etc. and sign off the cleaning record sheet.
Ensure all product removed and stored in the right location with the right storage facilities and ready to be used for the following day
Ensure there are adequate pre-packed products available after the counter closed down in order to maintain the service to our customers
Ensure the wastage form is completed correctly and signed off by the department Supervisor at the end of the day. The food waste is stored in the right location per Food Safety legislation.
