Job Title - Product Manager

Our client is a diverse manufacturer of FMCG goods, with multiple UK sites as part of their truly successful business. This is an exciting time for a Product Manager to join them as they continue their journey towards being a LEAN enterprise, delivering customers with perfect quality products at the right time and place whilst minimising losses and maximising efficiency. This is a full time and permanent role for a Product Manager based in the Spalding area. You will receive a basic salary of £30,000 with an excellent benefits package and unrivalled career prospects.

The Person

You will assist in creating innovative new products and processes to maintain and extend current ranges ensuring delivery of the project concepts in a timely manner. Inspiring others through food, industry and consumer knowledge. You strive in your ability to take on a wide variety of tasks & responsibilities - possessing the necessary qualities to be able to demonstrate proven experience gained through working in an FMCG/ Manufacturing environment. You will have excellent negotiation skills and be able to work well under pressure whilst working to tight deadlines.

You will be an excellent communicator, be passionate about food and a motivational leader. You will be a Self-Starter, be enthusiastic from the minute you step through the door and be extremely methodical and have a strong attention to detail.

You should be confident in your ability with a flexible and adaptable attitude to work, you will strive with your colleagues in the team to provide the maximum availability and efficiency of our clients services.

The Role

Key Accountabilities:

* Manage, motivate and inspire direct reports to achieve personal development and continual improvement
* Deliver development for their area of responsibility ahead of our competitors through understanding the wants and needs of both internal and external customers.
* Use the principles of category management to gain a true understanding of the wants and needs of the consumer in order to develop successful products to meet these needs.
* Manage critical paths for specific product ranges, plans, organises and controls resources to deliver new product development concepts to an agreed quality and timescale.
* Monitor and benchmark product quality of existing and new products and communicate across functions to resolve issues and agree action plans
* Deputise for the Development Manager
* Maintain a high level of interaction with the total NPD team to be aware of all future pastry projects
* Build relationships with site team and development team
* Help facilitate product presentations to internal and external customers
* To work in compliance with the development procedures

The Package
