A new role for a R&D Physicist with a background in applied physics and experience of engineering new solutions and technologies (either in academia or industry) has arisen at a exciting new Technology development company in Cambridgeshire. The Applied Physicist will join a growing team of technical experts working on a range of cutting-edge medical device and other high technology products development projects. The Physicist will join a modern technology design & development consultancy based in Cambridgeshire. Their success at developing cutting edge regulated devices in the fields of Drug Delivery, Surgical Devices and Diagnostics Technology has already earned them accolades within the medical device marketplace . As an Applied Physicist you will use your passion for innovation to develop concepts, technologies and products for global leaders in the Medical Devices marketplace. You will work on development projects alongside senior technical and commercial business leaders to address client needs, creating bespoke devices in often challenging (and ultimately highly satisfying) development programmes. Prior experience of Medical Device Development, although preferred, is not essential -more important is the ability, aptitude and passion to deliver scientific innovation and cutting edge solutions.

To be considered for the role of Applied Physicist you need the following:

Education:

* A 2.1 (MSc/MPhys/MRes/MPhil/MA) or above (PhD, DPhil) in Physics from a leading university
*

Experience

* Strong background in applied physics
* Experience of developing Small/Medium products.
* Experience in working in a project based environment
* Experience in leading projects, team and technical developments
* An enthusiasm for innovation
