My Client, a well-established and thriving business based in Croydon requires a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will have previous experience with invoicing within a busy accounts team, have good communication skills, have working knowledge of Sage line 50 and be available to star work on 24th July 2017.

Responsibilities include:

• Setting up new clients
• Producing invoices and sending to clients
• Allocation of cash to customer accounts
• Cash book maintenance, including reconciliation of banking to Sales Ledger records
• Chasing up outstanding debts
• Issuing credit notes where appropriate
• Weekly debtor statement reporting
• Running off turnover statements as requested
• Reconciliation and Resolution of customer queries
• Liaise with Management Accountant and Financial Controller on unpaid debts
• Other general accounting administration

Skills and abilities to include:

• The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a “can do” attitude
• Experience in a sales ledger or accounts role is essential
• Essential to remain professional at all times with clients and staff.
• Excellent telephone and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills
