Staff Nurse - (Entry Level Oncology)

Salary: £26,358 to £29,851 per annum, plus 9% shift enhancement + Full Haematology and Chemotherapy Training

This particular Joint Venture is a partnership within a beloved NHS acute hospital in Manchester! Which happens to be an impressive and well-respected NHS Trust, and a European cancer centre providing advanced cancer care and housing the world's largest early clinical trials unit. This site builds on these services and provides state-of-the-art private patient facilities in a £35 million treatment centre. There are continuing redevelopment works to extend both inpatient and outpatient facilities at This site.

Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for outstanding patient care from assessment through to evaluations, always working with the wider multi-disciplinary team to constantly improve care standards. The post holder will also provide support with supervising and directing junior staff and will deputising for Senior Staff Nurse and Sister in their absence.

Duties And Responsibilities

Independently assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care
Provide effective on-going evaluation of nursing care and interventions
Implement changes in care smoothly, consulting patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team
Recognise and take appropriate action in emergency situations
Record, monitor and interpret patient vital signs, reporting to the nurse in charge
Accurately monitor and document nursing outcomes

Skills And Experience

RGN, NMC registered with PIN
Previous haematology/oncology/surgical experience
