An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Person to join our client’s fast-paced and growing organisation.

• Are you able to engage current and potential clients?

Our client is an independent welding supplies distributor based in Oldham.

They provide welding machinery, consumables, abrasives and industrial gasses as well as a service & repair centre, hire fleet and training school.

You will be tasked to work around the North West of England selling the services and products of the company and develop an expansive potential client base.

Your job role will include:
• Making appointments to meet new and existing customers
• To understand your customers’ needs
• Agreeing sales, prices and payment terms with new customers
• Recording sales orders and enquiries and communicating them to the sales office
• Keeping in contact with current customers either on the phone or in person
• Meeting quarterly sales targets
• Learn about and promote new products to customers
• Monitor competitor activity throughout the area and advise on further marketing strategies.
• Reporting on your weekly calls

• To be able to gauge a potential customers requirements as closely as possible

You will be required to report on all of the calls and will meet once a week with the General Manager and/or the Managing Director to discuss your calls and strategies.

Hours you will be required to work from 8:00am – 5:30pm on Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm on Friday, however making enough appointments to meet the needs of your customers will require flexibility of your hours.
