Business Development Manager

Position Overview

Our client have expanded each year and have experienced some excellent growth. As a result we now have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of new business and account management. They will have previous experience of technical business to business sales

The candidate will be located at our clients head office in Wakefield, however the role will require some travel throughout the UK from time to time to meet prospective clients. A company vehicle will be provided for travel to client meetings.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Developing and strengthening relationships with new and existing clients including; Mechanical Consultants, Main Building Contractors and M&E Contractors
• Visiting prospective/existing clients to provide technical information on the Company’s products and Services. This will include delivering presentations on the company’s product range.
• Sourcing new business opportunities
• Following up on quotations until a sales outcome is achieved
• Complete and submit reports as required

Desired Experience and Attributes;

• Previous experience with an excellent track record in technical B2B sales, ideally within a mechanical services related discipline
• Experience of managing the stages of the sales cycle from new lead enquiries, booking appointments to sales conversion
• Ability to clearly present solutions to client challenges
• A desire and expectation to work hard
• Excellent communication skills
• Proactive, confident and able to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team
• Diligent, Self-disciplined and well organised
• Ideally based in the north of England with access to the Wakefield head office (depending on experience some home based sales may be considered)
