Reed Warrington are excited to be working with an expanding company who are seeking a motivated purchasing assistant to support the purchasing manager in the effective and efficient procurement of goods and services for the business.

This role is essentially an office administration based role where you will also have responsibilities such as gaining market information, pricing, packaging and communication.

Your Day-to-day duties will include:

• Placing orders with suppliers for stock and current sales orders.
• Chasing deliveries of supplies
• Receiving and entering stock as it arrives
• Help with maintenance of stock levels
• Preparing supplier reviews as required
• Produce reports on product usage for use by management
• Obtaining prices from suppliers for new enquiries as required
• Other purchasing admin work as required
• Any other duties required to improve the procurement process

Working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8:30pm - 5pm along with a competitive benefits package;

• Salary between £19 - £22k per annum dependent on experience
• 25 days holiday plus bank holiday
• Onsite parking
• Company pension

Organisation is key in this role, along with excellent interpersonal and time management skills, the ability to be a team player and successfully work with people at all levels within the organisation.

Previous experience of working within a procurement department would be beneficial although training will be given.
