IT Support Engineer

ITIL, SQL, Desktop, Microsoft Server & Operating Systems

Southampton - £20,000 - £25,000

Our client has an exciting new opportunity for a Service Desk Engineer to join there expanding team. As a Service Desk Engineer you will be required to provide remote and telephone support services for the clients entire product suites to external customers and manage service desk calls in a timely manner. You will be joining a well-established company who offer a very good working environment as well as competitive salaries and benefits.

Skills required -

* ITIL Service Management
* Microsoft Client and Server operating systems
* Microsoft Desktop products
* Backup and recovery
* Security protection and patching
* SQL Database/DBMS
* A responsible attitude
* Good Communication and 'can do' attitude

Key responsibilities -

* Answer, log, diagnose and resolve customer support queries
* Ensure customer SLA's are adhered to.
* Installation and configuration of client/server and peripheral hardware platforms
* Bespoke application installation, configuration & support
* System administration (including backup)
* Hardware and software (OS & Application) upgrades
* Provide out of hours support on rota
* Support the development of Quality & Security procedures, processes and WI's
