Our client has an opportunity for an experience Senior Developer to join their offices in Leeds and design, test, maintain and programme a number of their system and act as the Technical Lead for the delivery team when working on specific projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Assume the Development Technical/Team Leader role of delivery team when working against projects.
Work with Senior Developers and Architects to design new products or enhancements/changes to existing product.
Line Management: Where appropriate you will also take part in Line Management across the development department under matrix management. This will include responsibility for staff reviews, salaries, setting objectives and performance management. Line management responsibility will span across distributed teams.
Periodic travel between Leeds, Lithuania and other UK offices when appropriate for project or line management duties.
Ensure development is carried out to the department policy, procedures and technical/process standards. Responsibility across both projects members and line managed team members. Involvement in Process Improvement: Assistance to management team of continual process improvement

Key Tasks:
Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control/improvements and testing to ensure products/systems are free of flows and function as designed.
Designs, tests implements products or systems.
Identifies applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems.
Leads team or projects and serves as a best practice/quality resource.
Be a subject matter expert with relevant technologies.
Provides leadership and direction in the development of our products/systems etc.
Provides 2nd & 3rd level Technical support to clients
Communicates effectively with customers and internal teams to resolve reported issues as quickly as possible.
Reviews processes/systems to make better, to automate, and streamline.
Assists and supports junior colleagues as required.
Provides technical consultancy and knowledge support to the wider business.
Manages external third party relationships as and when required.
Delegates as required, to ensure deadlines are met
Excellent communication skills, both with technical and non-technical subjects and people
Experienced leader of technical people
Proven track record of delivery of quality products and solutions
An expert in a development discipline
An excellent knowledge of version control procedures

Essential Experience:
SQL, Complex Queries, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
Transactional Stored Procedures for storing, processing and securing data, SQL Server 2005/2008
In depth knowledge of SQL Server database engine (internal workings)
Management experience

Desirable Skills:
Previous experience of working in a regulated environment.
