Position: IT Support TechnicianLocation: Flixton, ManchesterSalary: £22,000-£25,000Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am -5.00pm Periodic out of hours work required. A position has arisen to join a growing Technical Support team of a successful recruitment business.The role is to report to the IT manager and assist in day to day operations providing 1st and some 2nd line technical support to all HEADS staff, both internally and remotely. The team monitors and maintains IT and network operations across 7 sites in the Northwest, Yorkshire, Midlands and the South for 110+ employees; with plans for further expansion in and beyond 2017. The successful applicant will require at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role with excellent developing PC/Laptop problem solving and analytical skills. Evidenced via previous work experience or technical / qualifications will be required. You will also need a positive approach to new problems, and be flexible and adaptable to the business requirements as needed. Ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team, to develop new technical efficiencies and solutions to the business is essential. Perform troubleshooting with end users via telephone, remote control and in person at remote sites.*
Take ownership of technical problems and see through to a quick resolution.*
Install software on new PC’s and Laptops.*
Maintain PC’s to optimum performance*
Setup mobile devices for users, e.g. Windows Phone, iPhone,*
Maintain and update working documents such as asset/license registers, inventory documents and mobile phone lists.*
Help with desk moves & new office setup.*
Take delivery of support equipment and allocate/store accordingly.*
Full Driving license essential.
