My client is looking for a rising star to join our Corporate Services team based in Essex.

An interest in going out to meet clients is essential as you will be expected to work at client's premises from time to time.

Responsibilities

  • Client Development

  • Managing client portfolio

  • Liaising with clients in person/by phone/e-mail/meetings to progress jobs and maintain regular contact

  • Review of audit files and completion of statutory accounts, presenting completed package to Partner including liaison with corporate tax department for accounts tax charge

  • Ensure compliance with Auditing Standards requiring continual updates for technical knowledge

  • Applying Accounting Standards, UK and International with continual updates

  • Attending meetings with clients to discuss and finalise accounts and deal with other matters

  • Advising clients generally on accounting, tax, VAT, payroll and associated matters

  • Managing own budgets for productivity and cost recovery

  • Monitor and review WIP each month to issue fees; chasing outstanding debts where applicable

Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate must have the ability to analyse and interpret information and be able to communicate large amounts of data accurately. You will need to be either ACCA or ACA qualified. An interest and proven experience in external auditing within a practice environment is essential. Knowledge of Audit Case-ware and Sage Line 50 would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. We need a motivated go getter who is willing to travel to clients premises when necessary, sometimes outside of office hours.
