We are looking to appoint a committed and flexible individual for September 2017 to work with small groups of young people in an inclusion 'Hub' as part of our mainstream High School. The role will involve intensive support and teaching of young people at risk of exclusion who join The Hub for fixed periods of time. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with vulnerable students and will be able to demonstrate the drive and skills required to help raise standards of pupil's attainment and achievement. This is a highly rewarding yet challenging role focused on supporting the learning needs of students with various behavioural and SEN needs. This is a highly dynamic role which will support the school through an exciting phase of its development.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to recognise an individual's barriers to learning alongside forming intervention strategies to help overcome these. An ability to relate to and communicate well with students, parents and outside agencies is essential. There will be an expectation of the successful candidate to be involved in the planning and delivery of lessons to small groups of students; liaising with classroom teachers to ensure consistency and accuracy. All of the above skills will ideally be supported by an NVQ level 4 qualification or equivalent in addition to appropriate English and Maths qualifications as detailed in the person specification.
