Our Client, a provider of training, skills, recruitment & consultancy for growth, is on the lookout for a highly competent Leadership & Management Apprenticeship Lead to join a rapidly expanding business.

The role of a Leadership & Management Apprenticeship Lead is a hands-on, highly visible position designed to impact on a broad range of learner outcomes. The person in this role will be instrumental not only in making a difference to the lives of learners but also in increasing the standards and reputation of the industry.

The role of the Leadership & Management Apprenticeship Lead is to ensure the company delivers an efficient and effective Leadership & Management offer to learners and employers.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are sector competent/qualified but do not hold your qualifications in teaching and assessing you can apply to be on their Future Educators Programme.

Day to day duties will include the following:
• Liaising regularly with respective management: Preparing company reports for the MD and Senior Managers on Leadership & Management; Undertaking developmental observations or co-ordinating observations with Leadership & Management Apprenticeship TLM’s attainment and making recommendations for further improvements; Providing information, advice and guidance in respect of the company Leadership & Management offer and recommending; Completing and maintaining all regulatory and financial paperwork
• Liaising regularly with the Head of Quality: working with the Quality and Learning team to ensure that staff development in respect of Leadership & Management delivery is responsive to needs and that Leadership & Management Apprenticeship Leads can provide developmental support to TLM’s; Taking part in continuous professional development, including completion of own qualifications where required
• Liaising with the Development team: to support staff development activities in relation to Leadership & Management delivery, providing resources, materials and access to training; ensuring all Leadership & Management Apprenticeship TLM’s have access to all materials and resources required to deliver Leadership & Management effectively; Ensure the utilisation of the most current teaching, assessment and quality assurance practices in relation to Leadership & Management delivery
• Delivering outstanding teaching and learning of knowledge across all Leadership & Management components: Mentoring and coaching learners where diagnostic results or practice test results or fail rates determine specialist teaching is required; Mentoring and coaching Leadership & Management TLM’s where observations of teaching practice indicate additional support is required; Marketing the benefits of Leadership & Management attainments to learners, employers and company staff; Leading, building and providing technical support to the Leadership & Management team
• Reviewing materials including assessment/diagnostic tools to be utilised by the company and making recommendations for the purchase of resources that will support Leadership & Management attainment: designing and delivering Leadership & Management workshops for delivery staff; signing off all training materials prior to issue
• A secondary aspect of the role is to support and augment the Leadership & Management delivery of Trainer/Assessors. You will be using a variety of teaching and assessing techniques to ensure that the highest standards of bespoke training are offered. Hands-on and out in the field working with our learners and employers in their places of work, you will be responsible for supporting a caseload of learners through their qualifications. Qualifications will include accredited Apprenticeships both frameworks and the new standards.

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
• Assessing and/or teaching qualifications – TAQA and level 5 teaching qualification essential
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience with delivering Leadership & Management in a vocational work-based learning setting
• Experience of organising own schedules and working to targets; delivering on a 1 to 1 basis and to groups of learners; practical and theoretical knowledge of Leadership & Management delivery; working with learners who require additional learning support
• Industry specific qualifications- to support embedding and contextualising of Leadership & Management
• Good IT skills – working level of knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, powerpoint, other MIS and databases
• Interpersonal, communication, project management, data analysis, and organisational skills
• Tactful and able to deal with difficult situations sensitively; ability to engage and motivate learners to gain results; able to counsel, negotiate and advise others
