Can you adapt to the needs of the learners and apply your experiences to help with all their educational needs? The school is located nicely on the south coast and has excellent transport links. This school is a generic special school and is dedicated to providing a curriculum that meets the needs of all its learners. Students have various needs some may have physical disabilities; some may be on the Autistic spectrum, every learner is treated as an individual. In this role as a Teaching Assistant you will be:-
> Enabling learners to access the curriculum.
> Support the pastoral needs of the learners.
> Be an active part in setting the learning environment.
> Supporting learners on a 1:1 base and part of a small group.
> Supporting learners in a range of activities.
> Using your interests to engage learners in learning.

The ideal candidate may posses the following skills and capabilities:-
> Be able to work with learners that have various learning difficulties.
> Have an understanding of the students with emotional needs.
> Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
> Be confident to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects.
> The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team.
> Strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
> Be flexible in their approach to education.
> Team teach trained is desirable.
> Experience of working with children essential
