Are you an experienced Production Engineer or Planning Engineer who has worked in the electronics industry and are looking for your next job then this could be what you are looking for!

The Company:-

This Production Engineer job is working for an international company with sites in Europe, the UK and America who cater for the Electronics and Nuclear industry. The role is base in Newbury and has become available due to the continued increase in orders and projects for the company.

The role:-

You could be working with design and manufacturing departments to plan and implement new product production on the shop floor while helping to improve quality, efficiency and manufacturing processes by enhancing process techniques, creating process instructions and provide technical support and guidance.

Your role will be to manage and develop the introduction and ramp plans for new products, review front end designs to plan operating processes, tools and techniques and defining the required equipment and parameters.

Other areas that you could be responsible for will entail liaising with production planning in relation to new products and projects to ensure that they are efficiently incorporated into the manufacturing schedule with sufficient personnel, equipment and materials being allocated.

Skills & Experience:-

Your HNC or above in a mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification will be vital along with your hands on experience on the shop floor. It goes without saying have good technical knowledge including reading Engineering drawings and solid understanding of machining or assembly processes.

It is highly advantageous to have a background knowledge of Slip-ring's and their relevant applications for this position but if not this will not rule you out.

As an outgoing and sociable person you will be able to build good relationships with your colleagues and be able to communicate fluently both verbally and in writing so that you can both effectively listen to and understand technical details and manufacturing problems, as well as clearly communicating new processes and training to staff in various departments in different formats.

There are elements of project management to this role so if you have experience in this it is highly desirable

The package:-

This job offers a 4.5 day working week (half day on Friday), the salary is circa £30-£35k per annum but is negotiable (within reason) depending on what you can bring to the table. The site is in a great location that is easily accessible by both road and public transport and a free onsite parking.
