Alex Tosney is recruiting for 2 X Production Engineers to join a medical device manufacturer on their site based in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative company with an expanding product portfolio on a permanent basis.

As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for offering technical expertise, process, production and project engineering support to Production and ETIG Department to satisfy business objectives.

Further responsibilities will include:
· Typically function as a team member supporting validation, process engineering, equipment design and build, budget and time line control, and Quality of the process and associated equipment / service
· Appraise, specify, develop, commission and test and validate new and existing production automated systems and equipment
· Conduct equipment & process: safety compliance assessments, appraisals, capability studies and validation/verifications programmes in accordance with medical device regulatory requirements
· Initiate and support statistical process control programmes for manufacturing systems; including analysis of variation, DoE and problem solving - Six Sigma tools
· Implement validated and verified process improvements, including optimisation of productivity, yield and quality
· Reporting on time against objectives, including: design/milestone reviews, presentations, monthly reports and KPI monitoring
· Train other team members as required, to establish and maintain best work practices in all technical and training documentation
· Lead and participate in multi disciplinary teams engaged on above activities
· Prepare documentation in preparation for key milestones: FAT, SAT, DOE's, IQ, OQ, PQ's

As a Production Engineer, you are expected to have the following Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· Degree or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline
· Be a professional institute associate member level or equivalent
· Experience of working in a manufacturing / operations area around equipment with moving parts
· Be able to work for extended hours and prepare documents and reports
· Experience of working within a Medical devices or a pharmaceutical environment
