FAIR’s Engineer – Based Nottingham £25-£27p/h Ltd Co – Start Mid July – 3-6 Month Minimum / Rolling Contract Using Visual FAIR to Compile FAIR’s Documents from Scratch / Checking and Overchecking / Working on NPI projects.
Aerospace Background Essential This midlands based supplier of precision aerospace components have recently won large orders with Rolls Royce and are going through a period of massive growth. Employing nearly 300 people across three midlands based sites they have impressive and aggressive growth plans that they are currently on course to hit. The Role:
Creation of FAIR’s documents from scratch. This could be top level FAIR’s through to detailed ones for individual components.*
Using Visual FAIR to balloon drawings, create the forms etc. Populating the FAIR’s where possible with information including material certifications, CMM reports, engineering drawings etc.*
Getting involved in over checking other engineers FAIR’s as well.*
Cross referencing the FAIR documents against the parts and the customer specifications.*
Updating the relevant trackers (Excel files) and making sure they are accurate.
What Skills we are looking for in the Contractor:
Aerospace quality background with an in-depth understanding of the FAIR’s process.*
Good communication skills – as you will be liaising with different manufacturing sites, the end client and other stakeholders in the supply chain.*
Happy to be hands on if required – dimensional inspection, checking and modification of FAIR’s, picking up the phone to resolve issues etc.*
Good IT skills – updating and working on Excel.
