Contract Type
Full Time
We now have an exciting opportunity for a skilled training professional to join our award-winning training and development team. As a Training and Development Partner you will be integral to ensuring that all new colleagues are inducted well in to the organisation and that their ongoing training needs are met. You will play a key role in working with local operational teams to identify training needs, develop new courses and training interventions. The work is varied - you will be delivering on subjects ranging from infection control to time management; from first aid to safeguarding adults at risk.

You will ensure that colleagues receive all the training necessary to meet our legal obligations and those stipulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), our regulatory body. Working across our 5 sites based in Bristol and North Somerset & BANES, you will meet with local managers and colleagues to assess training needs and deliver a range of courses and effective training interventions. The Training and Development Partner will assess the effectiveness of the training provided to both internal colleagues and external visitors/organisations and will contribute to our income generation target. They will be instrumental in ensuring that our new care colleagues complete the Skills for Care, Care Certificate and that our current colleagues complete the mandatory annual training updates.

What we are looking for

Experienced in delivering training and managing groups of delegates, you will be able to build a rapport and credibility with colleagues at all levels and also external organisations to which we provide training. Preferably with a relevant training qualification, knowledge of different learning models and an understanding of health and social care legislation and policy, the ideal candidate must have effective communication and presentation skills. We are looking for creativity with the ability to engage colleagues in a variety of subjects. A flexible and adaptable approach to working is essential, along with a full and valid driving licence as travel between sites will be required.

This is a varied and interesting role and with our 5th site in Keynsham due to open later this year, this is an exciting time to join the Trust.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Occasional out of hours working may be required.

If this sounds like the role for you, please see our website for full details and to apply.

What we offer

We offer a competitive package including a contributory pension scheme, life assurance at 4 x salary, childcare vouchers, 27 days holiday per year plus 8 bank holidays (pro-rata), free on-site parking, savings on shopping, opportunity to join our gym (and pool where relevant) and a subsidised restaurant.
