Financial Systems Manager – Agresso – Huddersfield – £38,000-£48,000
One of the UK`s leading educational institutions are seeking a Financial Systems Manager to join their team based in Huddersfield.

As the Financial Systems Manager, you will take responsibility for the development, maintenance and operation of the Finance Systems, including Agresso and WPM, and all related interfaces. This will enable the full potential of the system to be exploited, whilst ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

Enhancements will require the Financial Systems Manager to manage full system testing during large and complex projects. You will develop and embed a testing strategy into operational processes across all strategic Finance applications.


As the Financial Systems Manager, your duties will include, but won`t be limited to:

- Taking responsibility for the strategic development and planning of the Finance System and its interfaces
- Providing leadership to the staff and managing the work of the Financial systems support and development function
- Taking responsible for the annual returns to PCI Data Security Standards and putting measures in place for compliance
- Raising the awareness initiative of Counter Fraud and providing an annual report to the Audit Committee on breaches or attempts of fraud
- Managing and developing the support team, motivating and mentoring them to meet the current and future requirements of the systems
- Embedding a customer facing service culture across the support team and ensure effective and efficient delivery
- Leading specific activities and new initiatives and working with the team when implementing new projects or upgrading systems.
- Working closely with external consultants and internal staff to ensure the development, reliability and continuity of Agresso and assorted payment systems
- Achieving and maintaining ‘Super User` status with Agresso, to enable working with customer support to resolve problems, documenting solutions for future reference
- Attending supplier workshops to provide feedback on future developments


The successful Financial Systems Manager will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

- Education to a degree level or equivalent
- Extensive experience of working with computerised accounting systems
- Detailed knowledge and experience of ERP applications, preferably UNIT 4 Agresso
- Understanding of the processes with regard to financial operations, including budgeting, procurement and online payment security
- Experience interpreting .xml files
- Knowledge of payment methods and the interfacing between Banks/PSP`s and systems
- Understand requirements of PCIDSS and compliance issues.

- The ability to:

- Think creatively, being able to generate realistic new solutions and secure implementation of those plans
- Lead and develop a team
- Secure high standards of performance across the team
- Manage complex workloads.
- Communicate and influence a wide range of groups at various levels
- Plan ahead and meet deadlines without supervision
