Direct Payment Officer
* A Local Authority in South West London is looking for a Direct Payment Officer to join their team on a three month contract.

Purpose of the job:
* To provide a responsive and high quality Direct Payments financial monitoring service for Adults and Children's Services ensuring that public funds are used for the purpose that they are provided for.

Your duties will include:
* You will be carrying out financial monitoring of Direct Payment accounts, auditing bank statements, highlighting issues to care managers, investigating queries.
* You will be identifying and recovering surpluses from service users.
* You will be identifying areas of misuse, fraud or financial abuse and to take appropriate action to deal with this.
* You will be ensuring that the services are dealt with on an equitable basis to deliver the standards required for each, as agreed annually by the Executives of both Councils.
* You will be contributing to performance review and improvement measures on an on-going basis, helping to ensure that a customer focus is embedded within the function and innovative and creative solutions are evaluated to securing the highest quality and value for money functions.
