My client is looking fro an experienced Audit Executive to join there office based in Essex.

Job Objective:

To undertake and supervise audit and accounts assignments as directed and manage client relationships to ensure a satisfactory service is provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the delivery of complete audit files including for the audit of limited companies, charities, education clients and other not-for-profit sector clients. Carrying out work under Solicitor's Regulation Authority Rules and other regulatory reporting.

  • Leading audit teams of up to five staff, mostly off site at client premises primarily in the Norfolk/Suffolk/Essex area but very occasionally elsewhere either travelling daily or requiring staying away overnight for up to a week at a time. This will include pure audit assignments together with assignments involving a significant amount of accounts preparation work on Case-ware, MS Word or MS Excel.

  • Assistance in tax compliance work for clients, e.g. preparation of Tax Returns, VAT Returns, etc.

  • Preparation of financial accounts for audit and non-audit clients, occasionally from incomplete records

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and their staff throughout the year and particularly during the audit process.

Qualifications/Skills Experience

  • ACCA or ACA qualified or close to qualification with relevant experience

  • Good up to date Technical knowledge and skills in the audit field

  • Experience of paperless audit systems and accounts production software (e.g. Caseware)

  • Competent in use of other computer software programs including MS Word, MS Excel, email

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Able to demonstrate aptitude for problem solving, use of initiative, analytical skills
