Due to expansion my client is looking for a passionate Account Manager who will ensure the long-term success of our customers.You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of assigned customers, connecting with key buyers and others involved in the supply chain process. You will liaise between customers and internal/external sales teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products according to customer needs.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships- Increasing customer orders with add-on sales and identifying cross-sell opportunities - Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products/services according to customer needs and objectives - Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to the management team- Identify and grow your geographical territory through telemarketing campaigns and new business prospecting. New business is a large focus of this role
- Call prospective new customers and generate leads for external counterpart to follow up and convert- Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed - Other general day-to-day office duties
The position is full time and permanent. The successful candidate should demonstrate the following attributes:-
- Previous sales/account management experience is essential- Excellent telephone manner- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office packages i.e Word, Excel, Outlook- Excellent planning and organisational skills - Self-starter and able to manage ones time effectively- A willingness to learn- Ability to work competently as part of a team or individually- Good verbal and written communication skills - Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence key people within the sales process
