Part Time Management Accountant - Live Entertainment Co
Are you a Management Accountant looking to work in a part time role (3 days a week) for a growing, entrepreneurial live entertainment / show promotions / event production / talent management company in a newly created and challenging new position? If so this rapidly growing and very high profile business based in a prime location in Central London is looking to recruit a new member of staff to work in a small team and report directly to the owner of the business. Your role will be hugely varied, you will be responsible for the financial affairs of the business, as well as accounting for all tours and productions. You will be responsible for maintaining the effective operation of multiple companies within the group. Your duties will include: being responsible for all financial matters within the group, Working with external production accountants, company book keeper and client accountants on maintenance and delivery of production and statutory accounts, producing all management accounts, including analysis and commentary for the business, VAT returns, ensure that funds are accurately accounted for against relevant productions, keep an accurate log of all expenses, income and invoices / receipts raised, credit control, liaise with production coordinators and assist on financial matters for productions and tours, assist with the preparation of a variety of production related reports (eg production accounts, investors, royalties etc), cashflow forecasting and other ad hoc duties and reports. You will also be in charge of ensuring tight and robust financial procedures and controls throughout the business. You will work on a regular basis with the firms external firm of accountants.
To be considered for this newly created and unique new position, you must be either a CIMA / ACA / ACCA qualified, qualified by experience or finalist currently working in industry in a finance department. Experience of the creative / media / entertainment / promotions / productions sectors would be an advantage but not essential. Experience of sage is essential. You must have at least 3 years of accountancy experience, be able to work to tight deadlines, multi task, and be looking to work in a fun yet fast paced environment. You must be a self starter, a team player, be able to accept high levels of responsibility and have a passion for the media and entertainment sector. This firm would also consider a more junior level candidate who wanted to work on a full time basis.
