My client is currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper, ideally with solid Sage 50 and Payroll experience to join thier successful and growing global FMCG business on a permanent basis. This role would suit a candidate from a similar background looking to take on more responsibility within a small team.

The role will include the following main duties:

• Process monthly payments in a timely manner
• Support the month-end process by delivering accurate and timely reports
• Offer analysis and insight into cost variances
• Deliver monthly payroll submissions
• Deliver quarterly VAT returns
• Ensure accuracy of the P&L and Balance Sheet
• Support the accountants in the preparation of the annual accounts and audit
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required

The successful candidate will:
• Be organised, punctual, show attention to detail and be capable of multi-tasking
• Demonstrate a positive and flexible approach to work in line with company requirements
• Be capable of carrying out the range of transactional bookkeeping duties up to trial balance
• Excellent telephone manner and strong communicator
• Be an experienced Sage 50 user, and possess strong Excel skills

French, German or Japanese language skills are advantageous.
