Randstad are working on behalf of a client within the health and social care industry to help recruit an experienced and knowledgeable HR Advisor to work in the company's Sunderland head office, for a period of 6 months.
​The HR Advisor will report to the Senior HR Advisor and focus on supporting managers and a team of dedicated carers and nurses to ensure ​the​ team can continue to deliver high quality, person-centred care.

​The Key Responsibilities for this post are: ​

* Provide accurate and timely HR advice to managers and staff in line with policies, best-practice and legislation;
* Support and deliver initiatives to ensure the up-skilling and training of managers with regards to HR policies and procedures;
* Support the Senior HR Advisor and HR Director with all HR initiatives and projects as required;
* Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation;
* Pro-active and effective management of HR casework, such as absence, disciplinary, and grievances up to final written warning stage, seeking clarification, support and liaising closely with the Senior HR Advisor as appropriate;
* Alerting managers of trigger points reached in accordance with the Absence Management Policy;
* Lead for all recruitment, liaising with the manager where appropriate and ensuring all employment background checks and employee file checklist are completed;
* Producing offer letters, contracts, and new starter packs for all new starters;
* Administering and maintaining employee records relating to staff;
* Administer the probationary review periods;
* Managing the leaver administration process;

* Undertaking other duties as directed by line managers commensurate with the post​s
