An Independent School in Essex, commutable from London, is looking for a Head of Geography from September 2017 or January 2018. This is a full time and permanent position.
This independent school's main aim is to ensure pupils leave as resilient, enterprising, and confident lifelong learners who have enjoyed their time at school. It provides a first class education for all by treating every child as an individual and ensuring all pupils achieve their full potential. In addition there is a wide ranging co-curricular programme outside the classroom, which all students are encouraged to participate in.

The school are seeking an excellent practitioner who can teach Geography to A level and/or IB Diploma. The successful applicant will have a tenacity to work hard for themselves and their students, to ensure pupils are receiving engaging, thought provoking and interesting lessons and a desire to achieve. You must have the ability to teach Geography to A level. The willingness and ability to contribute to the extracurricular programme will be significant advantage. The successful candidate will also be required to provide strong and caring leadership that continues the excellent first class teaching and learning opportunities that the department already offers pupils and staff.
