Capita Employee Benefits are seeking an experienced and qualified 'Test Lead' to lead the delivery of system testing and user acceptance testing across a range of projects within our Transition and Change Team.

Ideal applicants will have test lead experience within financial services as well as experience of managing people and multiple projects.

About the role

As Capita Employee Benefits (CEB) continues to grow, so must our team. The Test Lead will work closely with project managers, business analysts and IT managers to help us re-shape how we deliver projects - managing the team to meet changes in project demands, ensuring the quality of testing out-puts and supporting improvement in test practices.

This role will involve managing a team of testers, including setting objectives, measuring performance against objectives, leading performance appraisals as well as identifying and helping to implement process improvements. The Test Lead will liaise with all directors, managers, staff, clients and third parties affected by or involved in the project so strong communication skills are key.

What you will do:

* Lead the delivery of testing of systems and processes in accordance with the requirements of any project assigned
* Ensure that all Test responsibilities are clearly communicated to and agreed by all parties
* Produce, issue and maintain test management control documentation required for the effective planning, execution and sign-off of testing
* Adhere to approved test management work instructions and template control documentation and inspect and monitor the adherence of other testers to the same
* Liaise with all directors, managers, staff, clients and third parties affected by or involved in the project
* Manage a team of testers including setting of objectives, measuring performance against these, leading performance appraisals and identifying and implementing process improvements
* Undertake internal, external and on-the-job training to enable performance in the role at the required level including active participation in the company's performance management process
* Perform duties efficiently and accurately within specified timescales in accordance with the work.

Your skills & experience will include:

* Managing projects - Able to describe the key elements of projects including initiation, governance, control and closure
* People management experience
* HP Quality Centre - essential for the role
* Proficient user of Microsoft Word for documenting test strategies, plans and execution
* Experience with System Testing and/or User Acceptance Testing
* Experience with Test planning (scheduling, analysis, coverage, scripting)
* ISEB or ISTQB foundation test qualification
* Pensions and/or employee benefits or financial services administration processes/software experience would also be desirable/advantageous.
