Inside Out Purchasing & Supply has been engaged to recruit a Supply Planner for a rapidly expanding Foodservice company. Candidates must be proficient at using Excel and ideally come from a similar fast paced environment.
The Role :
Experienced in the management of stock control of food ingredients and your main responsibility will be to ensure an adequate level of stock to meet the demands of this busy, growing business.
You will be supported by the Buyer in the daily purchasing of food ingredients, using Excel and the company's stock management system. You will be liaising with suppliers, placing orders with suppliers on a daily basis, planning, analysing and managing stock levels.
Conducting cycle counts of stock and inventory on site in the stores area and controlling traceability and shelf life issues. You will produce and report on required KPI's in line with company objectives and targets including analysis of customer demands and preparation of long term forecasts.
You will identify opportunities to enhance value and reduce cost and effectively implement such opportunities.
Managing optimum stock levels to ensure product availability whilst minimising obsolescence and driving cost reductions. You will provide administrative support to the Buyer, maintain the company based procurement system, check and approve relevant invoices and learn to process stock checks to ensure the accuracy of the live stock system.
Placing and chasing purchase orders.
You will be maintaining the company's list of allergens and nutritional information and product specifications, working with suppliers to keep our databases current.
Liaise with all departments to ensure that the agreed commercial and delivery terms for goods are met and reviewed, with all quality standards being adhered to.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and visitors and handle related enquiries.
